Ingredients

  • 1 cup mushrooms cut in quarters
  • 1 cup cooked black beans
  • 1 cup cooked quinoa
  • ½ cup bread crumbs
  • cup chopped walnuts
  • 1 chopped and caramelized onion
  • 4 garlic cloves
  • 1 tbsp BBQ sauce
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp coco aminos
  • 1 tsp tomato paste
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • ½ tsp turmeric powder
  • ½ tsp chili powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • To a food processor, add all the patty ingredients and pulse into a loose meal (you want it mixed well, some texture is good – don’t over-mix into a soft dough).
  • Form into patties with your hands. You want a relatively thin patty.
  • Cook the patties with a bit of oil in a pan for about 5 minutes on each side until crispy.
