Smoothie bowls are so good for you, they are nutrient-packed, yet you feel like you just ate dessert!

Step 1:

Smoothie bowl or nice cream, what's the difference? A smoothie bowl has a frozen fruit base, and nice cream has a banana base. Both can be blended with more fruit options and liquids like plant milk and sometimes vegan yogurt and other boosters like protein powder, spirulina, and green leafy vegetables like spinach; whether you call it smoothie bowl or nice cream, they are the healthiest alternative to frozen treats!

Here are three combinations

Berry Red

2 cups of frozen strawberries

2 cups of frozen raspberries

1/2 cup vegan yogurt

1/2 cup plant milk

Green Cream

2 cups frozen bananas

2 cups frozen mango

1/2 cup plant milk

1 tbsp spirulina

Blue power

2 cups frozen blueberries

1 scoop vanilla protein powder

splash of plant milk

squeeze of lime juice

Step 2:

To a high-speed blender or food processor, add all ingredients and blend until creamy and smooth.

Step 3:

If using a Vitamix, it's essential first to turn on your blender using the "variable" setting on medium speed, then quickly flip to high speed and use the tamper to blend. If the motor is overheating, turn it off and let it rest for a minute, then proceed. If using a food processor, you should be able to blend on high and scrape down sides as needed. If it has trouble blending, add a splash of plant milk to encourage blending. Just add a little, or it can become runny.
