Instructions:

1. Prepare the Bag: Place the popcorn kernels in the paper bag. If you're using oil, drizzle it over the kernels. This step is optional, but it can help the seasoning stick better.

2. Fold the Bag: Fold the top of the paper bag over twice to ensure the kernels don’t pop out during the cooking process. Make sure it’s tightly sealed.

3. Pop the Popcorn: Place the paper bag in the microwave. Microwave on high for about 2-3 minutes, listening carefully. When the popping slows down (about 1-2 seconds between pops), stop the microwave. Every microwave is different, so keep an eye on it to avoid burning.

4. Season the Popcorn: Carefully remove the bag from the microwave (it will be hot!). Open the bag and season the popcorn to your liking. For a savory snack, sprinkle salt, nutritional yeast, and garlic powder. For a sweet treat, drizzle with maple syrup or sprinkle with brown sugar.
